2000 – Japan

In April 2000, eight members of the UWA Aikido Club travelled to Japan to train with Shihan Fujimori and learn about Japanese culture. Highlights of the trip included visits to various martial arts clubs for training and demonstrations.

Our Aikidoka visited numerous dojos and trained with Japanese Aikidoka of different styles. These visits included:

• The Ishigaki Aikido and Peace Dojo in Saitama, Tokyo
• Osaka Aikikai Hombu
• Tsuyama Aikikai
• Tsuyama Police Dojo
• The Kojokan Judo Dojo in Tsuyama City
• Kagoshima University Aikido Club
