The guys over in Melbourne are celebrating their first anniversary this week. We are all happy to see the club expansion going strong!

Greetings All!

Many thanks to Karel for uploading a great swath of photos from the 2010 tour.

I think we can all agree that this year was a most successful visit. There was a large number of core Aikidoka at just about every training session and similarly for the social events. What a great way to start the year off!

If you didn’t make it into the photo, we hope to see you in the next one! If you want a full size copy of an image, please talk to Karel about it at training; I am sure you will be able to work something out!

Fujimori 2010 visit confirmed

The U.W.A. Aikido Club is very pleased to announce:

Sensei Fujimori is coming to Perth!

藤森先生が二月に来豪

Arriving on the 18th of February this year, Sensei Fujimori will be with us for 10 days of intensive training and cultural exchange.

This will be a members only event; so if you have been away from the mats for a while, now is the time to get back in to the Dojo!

AGM and Grading

There was an Annual General Meeting of the U.W.A. Aikido Club on Monday night, 30 May. The new club committee members are :

President – Ray
Vice Presidents – Nicolas, Xia
Treasurer – Paul
Secretary – Karel

Committee Members
Alexander, Michael, Christian

Sensei Brett also announced the decision to have a Kyu Grading (Coloured Belts) in about a months time. The actual date is yet to be decided, but it will be on a Monday night.

The regular training sessions will focus on the techniques students require to pass their grading. We won’t cover everything in each class, so you will need to attend as many as you can to be prepared. A full syllabus will be posted to the web site within a week.

We will announce more details as they come to hand..
